Biography
Dr. Tahereh Fathi Najafi is an Associate Professor of Midwifery and Medical Education at Islamic Azad University, Iran. She holds a Ph.D. in Nursing and Midwifery from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and a Master of Science in Medical Education from Tehran Virtual University, with high academic distinction in both programs. She also earned an M.Sc. in Mother and Child Health, along with bachelor’s and associate degrees in midwifery. Dr. Fathi Najafi has over three decades of academic and clinical experience in midwifery education, having served as an instructor, assistant professor, and academic administrator, including Dean of the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the Mashhad branch of Islamic Azad University. She is an active member of national research councils and professional midwifery organizations in Iran. Her scholarly and innovative work focuses on maternal and fetal health, with notable achievements including a U.S.-approved patent for an apparatus and method to detect and notify postpartum hemorrhage, as well as innovations in fetal health monitoring.
