Biography

Ms. Karolina Ławkowska is a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Medical Sciences and Health Sciences at Collegium Medicum, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Bydgoszcz, Poland. She holds a Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology and has a strong research background in regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, urology and integrins. Her research focuses on 3D tissue engineering for urinary bladder reconstruction, the role of integrins in cell adhesion and migration, and cytotoxicity studies in experimental models. She has extensive experience in cell culture techniques, gene mutation analysis, organ decellularization, and biomedical imaging. She has published in high impact scientific journals and presented her findings at international conferences. Ms. Ławkowska has also been actively involved in academic leadership, serving as the chairperson of the Student Scientific Circle of Regenerative Medicine and Microsurgical Reconstruction. She participated in an internship at the Department of Cell Systems & Anatomy at the University of Texas, San Antonio, USA, where she conducted research on small animal models and gene sequencing. With a strong interest in biomedical research and translational medicine, she aims to contribute to the development of novel therapeutic strategies in regenerative medicine.
