Biography

Dr Salim Badre Asbia is an associate professor who works in Fixed and Removable prosthodontic and Implant Dentistry at Sirte Dental School, Sirte University, Libya. He is a consultant of Prosthodontics at Al Mowast Hospital (Kuwait). He holds a Ph.D. (with high distinction) in prosthodontics, from Edinburgh University, UK (2007). Additionally, a Master of Science degree (MSc) in Prosthodontics, from Edinburgh University, UK (2003). He got his Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS) from Al-Arab Medical University, Benghazi Libya (1995). The subject areas are prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, and dental materials. He published many articles in many journals about prosthetic and restorative techniques in dentistry. He is a member of the African deans of dental schools society since 2014. He is a reviewer and member of the editorial team in many journals in Libya and abroad. Dr Salim’s interest is ceramic materials in dentistry, digital dentistry, and laser in dentistry in addition to traditional prosthodontics techniques.
