Biography

Sanja Peršić Kiršić was born in 1984 in Pula, Croatia. She graduated in 2008. at the School of Dental Medicine University of Zagreb. In 2014 she earned a PhD degree. In 2016. she became a specialist of Prosthodontics at the Clinical Medical Center Zagreb, Clinic for Dentistry, Department of prosthodontics.
Since 2009. she has been working at the School of Dental Medicine University of Zagreb, at the Department of Prosthodontics. From 2021. she has been at the position of Associate professor. She worked as an investigator on many projects, including the project approved by Croatian Science Foundation (CSF) No. 1218.. In 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. she was a principal investigator of projects funded by University of Zagreb. She is also a principal investigator from Croatia on bilateral project with Serbia.
Sanja Peršić Kiršić received award „Roberto and Daniela Giannini” for the best scientific research in Labin in 2011, as well as the ICP (International College of Prosthodontists) grant : Supported Scholarly Program – The Young Prosthodontic Educators Workshop. In 2013 and 2014 she was named the most successful young assistant at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Zagreb. She also received the award for young scientists and artists in 2014 which was awarded by the Society of university professors and other scientists in Zagreb.
Her main activities and responsibilities are teaching and lecturing undergraduate dental students in removable prosthodontics and implant supported prosthodontics, occlusion and temporomandibular disorders. She was a supervisor to students on many graduate theses, as well as at three Ph.D. theses.
Sanja Peršić Kiršić actively participated with oral and poster presentations at numerous national and international congresses and venues. She is currently a member of the Croatian Prosthodontics Association, European Prosthodontic Association (EPA), International Association for Dental Research (IADR), International College of Prosthodontics (ICP).
