Biography

Dr. Muchukota Sushma is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Aditya Bangalore Institute of Pharmacy Education and Research (ABIPER), affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS)- Bangalore. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Raghavendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (RIPER), JNTUA, Andhra Pradesh, where she was awarded the Gold Medal for academic excellence. She further completed her, Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, VELS University, NACC A++ Accredited Chennai. With over 9 years of experience spanning academics, research, and clinical practice. Dr. Sushma has made significant contributions to the field of pharmacy. She has authored 82 research and review articles, contributed to sixteen book chapters, published two academic books, and holds 8 Internationally granted patents and copyrights. Muchukota has presented over 25 scientific papers at National and International conferences, earning Multiple Best Oral and Poster Presentation Awards. A strong advocate for academic and research excellence, she actively serves as an Editorial board member, Peer reviewer, and advisor for several reputed National and International journals. She is the former Vice President of the ISPOR-India Student Chapter (Andhra Pradesh) and currently leads Pharm D academic coordination and clinical training activities at ABIPER. She has successfully guided 15 postgraduate and 20 undergraduate research projects, with two more currently under her supervision. Dr. Sushma also brings clinical expertise through her experience as an Assistant Physician in Gynaecology and Paediatrics. Her areas of specializations include Oncology, Bioinformatics, Clinical Research. She is a Life Member of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) and was recently honoured with an International Research Excellence Award, recognizing her outstanding contributions to pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare education.
