Biography
Dr. Leidon Shapo is a senior public health specialist with extensive experience in Healthcare and Public Health. He has a General Medicine degree (1992) and Masters Epidemiology (1995) and Public Health from LSHTM, UK (1999). Over the years, Dr Shapo has successfully lead population-health management projects including health needs assessments, evaluations, impact assessment and support to commissioning. He has been working across different UK organizations including the NHS (PCTs), the Local Government, and the voluntary sector. Dr Shapo have also contributed at an International level (developing countries) collaborating with some healthcare leaders including the WHO, UNDP, UNICEF, and DFID. His special interests are in the field of epidemiology, public health and population health management with a primary focus on prevention. Dr Shapo is the vice president of the United Kingdom Albanian Medical Society (UKAMS) & Vice chair of Albanian Medical European Federation (AMEF) - UK branch. He is also the Assistant Editor of Journal for Infection Disease Control (JIDC); and, on the editorial board of the International Journal of Collaborative Research on Internal Medicine & Public Health (IJCRIMPH).
