Biography
Dr. Erica Edfort As an educator, prior to retirement in 2022, I taught students the specialized processes required to provide care for the acute stroke patient. I also taught nursing students basic procedures in Health Assessment, Medical Surgical and Critical Care Nursing. Dr. Edfort has presented her stroke research at numerous local, national and international venues as both a poster presentation and keynote address. Dr. Edfort has Chaired the campus Admission Committee and served as the Student Nurse Association Faculty Advisor. She has also chaired the university wide Undergraduate Curriculum Committee overseeing over 30 campuses across the USA. Dr. Edfort continues to be involved in the field of nursing with Sigma, the Honor Society of Nursing, as a facilitator for the Retired Nurse Community group. She is also a member of the Georgia Nurses Association and Georgia Association for Nursing Education.
