Biography
Dr. Fábio de Oliveira Torres received the B.Sc. degree in Information Systems from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), Pará, Brazil, in 2009. He also received a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Area: Applied Computing, from UFPA in 2016 and 2022, respectively. He is currently a professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Pará (IFPA), Brazil. One of his areas of interest and research is related to multiple access schemes such as NOMA, RSMA, and D-OMA, as well as energy efficiency techniques for next-generation networks (B5G/6G). Prof. Fábio Torres also works with the implementation of computational intelligence methods, more specifically metaheuristics and hyperheuristics, in order to propose viable solutions to real-world problems.
