Biography

Alimjon Matchanov was born in 1972 in the Republic of Karaklapakia. From 1979 to 1989 he studied at a secondary school in the Amudarya region. From 1993 till 1998 I studied at National University of Uzbekistan (former Tashkent State University). 1998-2001 I was post-graduate student at the same University. My research activity has been focused on creation of haemostatic preparations on the basis of natural diterpenoid – Lagohilin. Synthesis of new Lagohilin derivatives and study their pharmacological properties has been also investigating. In 2003 I obtained my PhD in Chemistry, defending the doctoral thesis titled “Synthesis of physiologically active Lagohilin derivatives”. During my PhD, mono-, di-, tri- and tetra- acetyl, isopropylidene and benzylidene derivatives of Lagohilin were synthesized and their structure functional relationships were studied. Nowadays, I am working on isolation and purification of Glycyrrhizic acid from Liquorice. Glycyrrhizic acid is widely used in Pharmaceutical Industry and its derivatives have unique properties such as solubilization and gel forming abilities. In addition, it is well known that some medicinal preparations such as Lagohilin, Aspirin, Tubazid, Phtivazid, Gossypol and its derivatives are good drugs, but at the same time they are not highly water soluble compounds. The main problem is to increase their effectiveness. In order to increase their effectiveness, it is necessary to obtain their supramolecular complexes with Glycyrrhizic acid and its derivatives. Supramolecular complexes obtained on the basis of Glycyrrhizic acid and its derivatives should allow increasing their water solubility, high prolongation and effectiveness in low doses, pharmacological range, decrease their toxic properties and finally increase their bioavailability on to organism. Furthermore, technology for obtaining supramolecular complexes by that way has several advantages such as ecological safety and low cost technology. Obtained products by this technology should increase their export orientation ability. Taking into account the above mentioned advantages we have obtained a number of supramolecular complexes of Lagohilin, Aspirin, Tubazid, Phtivazid, Gossypol and its derivatives with Glycyrrhizic acid and its derivatives (for example, its monoammonium salt). Physical and chemical features and pharmacological properties of obtained compounds were investigated. All obtained products were water soluble, and currently, we are working on developing of new medicinal drugs on their basis. As the result of our investigations up to 100 papers were published until now. The objects of our research is to develop and test hemostatic agents on the basis of substances extracted from plant raw materials. Three kinds of drugs developed by us have successfully passed clinical trials as hemostatic medicines in various hospitals of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He worked at the Central Laboratory of Veterinary Drugs for Quality Control of Veterinary Drugs and at the Sanitary and Epidemiological Center on MLS OES ISP Optima 2100 DV PerkinElmer devices, GC PerkinElmer Clarus-400 and HPLS PerkinElmer Series-200 devices, as well as on the ICP MS Nexion-2000 device.
