Biography

Associate Professor at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, with extensive academic and research experience in the fields of biochemistry and medical chemistry. Her research focuses on sphingolipid biochemistry and lipid metabolism, particularly the analytical characterization of sphingolipid metabolites in biological systems and food matrices, andtheir application as potential diagnostic biomarkers. She has a strong background in translational biochemical research, integrating analytical methodologies with biomedical applications. In addition to her research activities, she has long-standing teaching experience in medical chemistry, biochemistry, and clinical chemistry at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She actively contributes to the scientific community as a peer reviewer for international journals in biochemistry and biomedical sciences.
