Biography
Meerab Hassan is an MSc (Hons.) Agricultural Biotechnology scholar at the Centre of Agricultural Biochemistry and Biotechnology (CABB), University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan. Her research focuses on plant virology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. She is currently conducting research on the sequence analysis and molecular docking interactions of the alphasatellite associated with Okra Yellow Vein Mosaic Virus. She completed her BSc (Hons.) Agriculture with a major in Agricultural Biotechnology from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. She gained practical research experience through an internship at the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute (ABRI), AARI, Faisalabad. Her expertise includes genome-wide analysis, phylogenetics, protein modeling, and molecular docking. She is proficient in bioinformatics tools such as NCBI, UniProt, BLAST, MEGA, HADDOCK, and COCOMAPS. She has contributed to biotechnology research through scientific publications. Her work integrates computational and molecular approaches to address challenges in plant health and crop improvement. Her research interests center on advancing agricultural biotechnology through modern bioinformatics techniques.
